Kara Fitzpatrick is a dynamic leader and force multiplier with a remarkable career dedicated to creating large-scale impact. She has worked on global stages like the Super Bowl, Oscars, and Women’s World Cup and served in two White Houses under President Biden and President Obama.

Kara’s background is a mix of private and public sector, including Director of Experience Design on the Cancer Moonshot for then-Vice President Biden in 2016 and Senior Advisor in the Biden-Harris White House. In her 11 years at Intuit, she worked on the CEO’s Communications Team and was Chief of Staff in the Small Business & Self-Employed Group. She also held the Chief of Staff role at Capital One, and on the Technology Strategy & Delivery Team on the Biden-Harris Transition Team.

Kara was appointed to the first class of Presidential Innovation Fellows in the Obama White House. During the first 100 days of the pandemic, Kara was tasked with creating and leading the State of California’s Data Insights Working Group that delivered sentiment and mobility insights daily to the Governor and his senior staff via a daily briefing book, enabling the Administration to make key policy decisions. She founded and executive produced TEDxIntuit, and worked on the Oscars, Emmys, Super Bowl Halftime Show, and Women’s World Cup. 

Kara does pro-bono digital strategy for nonprofits; taught micro-entrepreneur women human centered design in rural India; and guest lectured at UC San Diego STEM Academy for High School Girls, Stanford, and Harvard. She double majored in theater & English at Elizabethtown College, graduated summa cum laude from Penn State with a masters degree, and was a finalist for San Diego Woman of the Year.

She’s also an avid National Parks hype woman, and has been to 39 of the 63 National Parks in the United States.
